Western Wisconsin is ground zero for sand mining.  A large portion of the sand suitable for fracking use in the oil and gas industries is located in Western Wisconsin, and sand mines are cropping up left and right around my home. Sustainable Dunn held a panel discussion on sand mining in Wisconsin last week in Menomonie, and we video taped the discussion. This is short on production value, but should be of interest to anyone who is concerned about the incredible explosion of sand mining in the state.  This session was particularly interesting as one of the panelists was a manger from one of the local sand mines, so a variety of viewpoints was heard.

The first video is the panel discussion, and the second video is the long Q&A session that followed the panel presentation.
