Kim Simac, trying to unseat Democratic Sen. Jim Holperin, thinks public schools are Nazi-like

TalkingPointsMemo.com revisits a report that first surfaced on Wisconsin Public Radio about GOP state Senate candidate Kim Simac's comparison of America's public schools to Nazi Germany. We now know, thanks to a WPR interview, that Simac did make the comparison in a 2010 blog post deleted from a tea party social network recently. She admits as much and basically stands by her arguments in the Thursday interview.

Simac is a tea party organizer and the state Republicans' choice to recall Democratic state Senator Jim Holperin on August 9. What is still unclear is why the post mysteriously disappeared just as the election heated up.

Following are URLs to the full piece at TalkingPointsMemo and a direct link to the WPR program on which Simac appeared, where you can listen to her defending her indefensible remarks. A streaming MP3 of the program, which also featured Holperin, is linked as well.
