You heard that right: Whenever reporters ask any questions about Johnson's business, that's the answer they get.
Of course, Johnson is willing to release details such as exporting to China, but when the Oshkosh Northwestern asked how much of that Chinese business goes to outsourced Bemis plants, which are controlled by Johnson's inlaws, the campaign refused to anwser.
This is unacceptable and ridiculous.
If Johnson is going to run as a "job creator" and a "successful businessman," (his only qualification), he needs to prove it by opening up his corporate records.
Until Johnson releases those records, the media should stop taking Johnson's word for it when it comes to anything involving his business.
Johnson has already lied about being a self-made man that started the company by himself and saying he "never" took any form of government assistance. Both of these are not only lies, but HUGE lies.
Even if Johnson had not been repeatedly caught in lies about his business, reporters have an obligation to verify what Johnson is saying is truthful. Especially from a guy like Johnson, who came out of nowhere five months ago.
