Green County Nearly Triples 25% Recall Petition Threshold and Hits 70%!

[img_assist|nid=129353|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=300|height=177]In a recall effort that was 100% volunteer-driven, the is reporting that Green County is expected to turn in a little over 9,000 signatures today.

In 2010, Scott Walker narrowly lost the swing county by a 6,391 to 6,567 margin.  The trigger threshold for a recall election is 25% of the voters that participated in the last election.  9,000 signatures is 70% of the last election.

There were hundreds of volunteers involved, but special gratitude needs to go to Barb Woodriff and Amy Sloan, who staffed the volunteer office Monroe every day, all day from early in the morning to late at night.  Out of state union thugs? Nope. Two Monroe natives that never got paid a dime.
