Gov. Walker was one of the guests on NBC's Education Nation summit yesterday. Brian Williams read some sections of the open letter that was sent to him by Heather DuBois Bourenane from her blog Monologues of Dissent.  The open letter calls out numerous examples of the education climate that Walker has fostered in the state, and the reasons these stances will be bad for education in the long run.

Walker as always was on the defensive on this and spoke about the short-term gains to be had from his plans (this seems to be the common theme in his 'grab it while you can' political strategey) while trying to smooth over the fact that the current education climate is forcing droves of more experienced teachers to consider retirement. I've included some video both of the Education Nation event, and from Heather DuBois Bourenane appearing on last night's Ed show.
