GOP Recall Senators Love to Tell Gays They'll Ruin Marriage, Yet Nearly All Have Ruined Marriages

All of the GOP Senators facing recall have been virulently anti-gay bigots that have finger-wagged gays about how they lacked the qualifications for membership into the exclusive "marriage club" enjoyed by the GOP Senators.

What a crock. Let's take a look at these self-described "Protectors of Marriage."

First we have Sen. Luther Olsen, who in 2004 was accused by a 61 year old retired teacher of stealing his wife, while BOTH Olsen and his mistress were still married. This from a 8/20/04 Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article:

John Spillner, a 61-year-old retired teacher, said Olsen started going out with Wade after she was elected in 1998 to the Assembly, where Olsen already served as a representative.

Spillner and Wade were divorced in 2000, a year before she stepped down from the Assembly. Olsen's divorce, filed in June, is pending. Olsen declined to comment on Spillner's claims.

Second, we have Randy "Bed" Hopper, who recently left his wife and young children for a 25 year old subordinate-- and then got the 25 year old a high-paying state job!

Third, we have Rob Cowles, who is divorced and was busted a few years ago for being heavily invested in the porn industry and strip clus. (Nothing helps marriage like the porn industry and strip clubs.)

Finally, we have Sheila Harsdorf, who filed for divorce from her husband in 2002.

At the time, Rep. Mark Gundrum, the person that wrote the gay marriage ban these clowns voted-for, said at the time, "This is a time when society needs to reinforce the #cc0033">institution of marriage."

With people like these recall senators "reinforcing the institution of marriage," who needs gays to mess it up?
