Even Though llinois Beating Wisconsin in Every Economic Indicator, Walker Going to Illinois to Brag About Wisconsin's Economy

Governor Walker is leaving the state agai tomorrow to travel to Springfield, Illinois to draw attention to how much better Wisconsin (who balanced their budget on the back of schools and public employees) has fared compared to Illinois (who has balanced their budget with shared sacrifice). 

Hokey doke... let's take a look.

First we have total jobs added since Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and Walker took office in January of 2011 to the most recent jobs report, February of 2012:

Some will argue that its not fair to compare total jobs added, because Wisconsin has about half as many people as Illinois. OK, here is the rate of job growth for both states and Illinois still did better:

Last, and most important is total workforce.  Illinois has added 30,600 workers and Wisconsin has lost 10,400 workers.  That is the main driver as to why Wisconsin's unemployment rate has dropped faster than Illinois, since both governors took office:
