During Official House "Work Week" Duffy Says He's "Spending my Vacation Time" at Town Hall Meeting

The GOP House leadership designated February 18 to 22 as one of several controversial "House Constituent Work Weeks."  The leadership said such work weeks were necessary:

“Time spent in the district between Monday and Friday is essential for meeting with small businesses, employees, seniors, veterans and other local communities during working hours,” Cantor said in a message announcing the schedule. “We will continue to accommodate Members with longer distances to travel home and provide at least one constituent work week each month, with the exception of June.”

Apparently, one House member didn't get the memo and claimed to constituents that the "work week" was actually part of his vacation time that he was gracious enough to "spend" with his constituents:
