Though Walker ordered state offices in those offices to be closed to the public, state employees in the affected counties should still report to work, though agencies have been directed to allow workers to be excused from work if they take the appropriate leave.

State Sen, Jon Erpenbach, who complained, was right, saying Walker should have told non-emergency state workers to stay home, even if it counted as an unpaid furlough day, rather than risk their safety to punch the clock in a closed office.
