China: Open For Business! Since Walker Took Office At Least 23 WI Companies Have Sent Jobs Overseas

Since Governor Scott Walker has been sworn in, 44 companies have had petitions filed and confirmed, denied or investigated by the Department of Labor's Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance(OTAA). Of those 44 companies, 23 have been confirmed as meeting the OTAA's (somewhat narrow) guidelines for having jobs outsourced overseas and three are still under investigation.

This list includes, Whiting Paper Mill in Steven Point closing its plant down and putting 366 good men and women of Local 366 out of work.

This list includes Everbrite in La Crosse sending 40 jobs to China.

This list includes Serigraph of Westbend, whose CEO recently praised Walker's union-busting as "a positive for the business climate."
