Hearings on the state budget proposed by Gov. Scott Walker are few -- only four scheduled in the whole state, perhaps because the Republican members of the Joint Finance Committee don't want to face the public.

And who can blame them? Walker's budget does untold damage to so many programs that help working families and the poor and unemployed that it wouldn't have been surprising if Joint Finance had skipped Milwaukee altogether.

But the committee is going to brave it on Monday, April 11, so let's give them a warm Milwaukee welcome and let them know how we feel about the budget.

If you can't sit there all day waiting for your two minutes of fame, submit somethiing in writing. There is even a drive-through option.
