Today the Bureau of Labor Statistics realeased the latest state-level GDP data for 2013, or the third year in Scott Walker's governorship.
From 2012 to 2013 Wisconsin's economy grew at a rate of 1.68%, which is below the national average of 1.84%. Following other economic indicators, Wisconsin was also ninth out of ten midwestern states.
The numbers within the numbers are even more alarming: In the past year Wisconsin the heart of Wisconsin's economy, durable goods manufacturing, not only didn't grow but actually shrunk by .14%.
In the first three years of Walker's governorship, Wisconsin has grown by only 4.5%-- which is 67% slower than that of neighboring Minnesota's growth rate of 7.5% and well below the national average of 6.1%.
