Rounding up more joyless noise from the Walkerverse

Rounding up the more egregious rhetoric from Wisconsin's very own Boy Wonder as the weekend arrives:

1. TORRID BUT IMAGINARY PACE -- Time for YAWS -- Yet Another Walker Skin-back. The guv breathlessly announced in a news release this week that new Wisconsin business filings were coming in at a record pace. Whoops. Not.  The news release relied on a claimed up-surge in filings as proof that Walker’s open-for-business strategy is working. But within hours, the governor’s office issued a second news release. saying erroneous numbers had been produced by the Department of Workforce Development’s Office of Economic Advisors.

2. IT'S ALL ABOUT SCOTTY -- The Capital Times reported that a magazine rated #474747; font-family: Trebuchet, 'Trebuchet MS', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Wisconsin higher in its latest ranking of the best and worst states for business, and, "not surprisingly, Gov. Scott Walker is taking credit."

#474747; font-family: Trebuchet, 'Trebuchet MS', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px;">

Chief Executive Magazine in a survey of more than 500 CEOs put Wisconsin 24th best for business, up from 41st in the 2010 rankings. The guv, in office since January, promptly put out a statement saying he was "glad that our Open for Business message is resonating." See, just by SAYING the state is open for business, the state's business climate has miraculously improved.
