All I know is what I read in the papers

Let's see, nine days to the election, and the most important "fact" for the Journal Sentinel to "check" is whether Scott Walker is right when he says the state's deer herd is dwindling.  The election, no doubt, hangs in the balance.

Split endorsements for Feingold and Walker were very predictable, but those who still think the JS is a liberal newspaper are shocked.  The paper has boosted, apoligized for, and propped up Walker for years.  In his first relection campaign for county exec in 2004, the paper could't even wait until after the primary to endorse him for another term.

The editorial gives a long list of reasons not to support Walker, but supports him.

As an editorial writer might say, on the one hand the Journal Sentinel seems grounded in the reality of what a disaster Walker has been and how wrong he is on many issues.  On the other hand, it's totally blind when it comes to their boy Scotty.  On the one hand, it's full of reasonable analysis; on the other hand, it's full of crap.
