From the Institute for Wisconsin's Future:

More than 200 municipal, county and school officials from across Wisconsin have signed an open letter to Governor Scott Walker and the Legislature urging them to delete provisions in the Budget Repair Bill that usurp local control over collective bargaining between local governments and their employees. This includes leaders from at least 20 cities, 26 villages, 41 towns, 22 counties and 29 school districts.

See the letter and signers here.

Local government leaders from Eau Claire, La Crosse, Oshkosh, Altoona, Madison, Milwaukee and other communities will hold a press conference Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at 10 AM in the North Hearing Room 224 of the State Capitol in Madison. They will outline the reasons why so many community and school leaders oppose the Walker plan to restrict collective bargaining.
