University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Events

Muslims since the events of September 11, 2001 have been under more intense scrutiny than any other 'hyphenated American ethnic minority group.' Most Americans still hold a distorted image of Islam and Muslims and wrongfully associate Islam with violence and terrorism. This is harmful to not only the very diverse American Muslim communities but also the national security of the United States. This Webinar will try to shed lights on the political causes of such distorted view of Islam and Muslims in the United States and abroad. This session is facilitated by Ali Abootalebi, Political Science Professor, via Zoom.
