International Women's Day speaker: Dr. Fawzia Afzal-Khan

In her lecture, Professor Afzal-Khan will describe how US global dominance in finance has brought the "third world" home to Euro-America, by creating a two-tiered society of the extremely wealthy and privileged and an extremely impoverished population in expendable jobs of front-line workers in the U.S. and around the world.  She will also discuss the patriarchal repression of women and religious/ethnic minorities, the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, and the rise of neoliberal capitalism and U.S. imperialism.
